We remember you Alcides with much joy and emotion. You were the one that we would first see when arriving in Huaraz and the one who we would see last as the bus left for Lima. You were such a good caretaker of all your friends, from those you had just met to those who you knew for many years. You made each of us feel special, no matter who we were or where we were from, we all got your full attention and that was your unique gift.
You have left a legacy that fills the void in your passing. That legacy lives in your family and friends. Your exemplar life has touched us all and we are better for having known and loved you. Thank you Alcides, we are guided by the path that you have marked.
